Built and run by dispensing GPs. A live market dashboard your whole practice uses every day, and a tailored deep-dive that turns your own prescribing into recovered margin.
One tap from your browser, no app store and no extra password. The live market, the cheapest in-stock supplier and your prescriber board, full screen and always live. See how it installs →
On the left, the live market dashboard your whole practice can use every working day. On the right, the latest from Tariff Watch. This is the heart of RxMargin.
The subscription keeps the whole dispensing market - including the branded-product plays - in front of the practice every day, for a simple per-patient fee, and your first Tailored Report is included. The report is a practice-specific deep-dive that turns your own history into, typically, around £50,000 of recoverable margin a year; additional reports are an optional add-on whenever you want to re-baseline.
| Dispensing patients | Per year | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 3,000 | £1,500 | ~£125 |
| 6,000 | £3,000 | ~£250 |
| 10,000 | £5,000 | ~£417 |
The Live Market subscription is 50p per dispensing patient, per year (annual contract, 6-month break clause) and now includes the branded-product plays in your live dashboard and your first Tailored Report. Additional Tailored Reports are priced on your dispensing list size (to be confirmed), run on your latest data. The live dashboard keeps you ahead day to day; the report recovers the margin your history is leaving behind.
No-obligation first look: from a single period of your data we tell you whether there is enough recoverable margin to be worth your while, before you commit to anything.
Why practices trust the numbers
Reimbursement, the Drug Tariff, concessions, rebates and procurement all move independently, and a line that made money last quarter can quietly turn into a loss. RxMargin tracks it line by line and refreshes every working day, so the whole market is in front of you in seconds, not minutes.
Net cost versus reimbursement on every line, so loss-making and over-tariff items surface instead of hiding in the average.
The best in-stock price for any line across PSUK, AAH, Alliance and Clarity, priced net of the MDS rebates, with 90-day history, so you always buy well.
Supplier rebate schemes and live price concessions tracked, flagging where you are below the rates you could earn.
For each multi-source molecule the dashboard leads with a plain one-line answer: write it generically, dispense the cheapest source you can actually get, and keep the per-script margin. The full price ladder sits behind a toggle.
It spots the generics you are buying above the Drug Tariff with no concession in force, then builds a ready-to-send CPE supply-issue report: a pre-filled spreadsheet plus an email draft, so you can push for a concession in a couple of clicks.
Every clinician gets their own price-blind login with the practice's preferred lines, across two tabs: Starting doses and Switches. Costs and margins stay with the partners. Included with the subscription.
Branded-product plays are included in your live dashboard, and your first deep-dive of your own history - typically around £50,000 a year of recoverable margin - comes with the subscription. Additional reports are priced on your list size (TBC).

Every prescribing clinician gets their own login showing the practice's preferred lines at the point of prescribing. Costs, margins and figures stay with the partners. That is what makes better prescribing stick, without ever exposing commercially sensitive data to the wider team.
Not just the partners. Salaried GPs, registrars, ANPs and practice pharmacists all see the same agreed preferred lines, so the whole team prescribes from the same page.
Two tabs cover the moment a script is written: Starting doses for what to initiate, and Switches for the preferred swaps. Each shows the recommended product, form and pack, with the clinically equivalent alternative alongside, so good decisions happen as the script is written, not audited months later.
The prescriber view never shows cost, margin or any figure. Commercial data stays with the partners and practice manager, which is exactly why partners are comfortable rolling access out to everyone.
The result: partners keep commercial data private, prescribers get clean clinical guidance, and the whole practice moves to its preferred lines together. It is a secure portal page, not another system to install: we set up a login for each prescriber, onboarding takes minutes, and it opens in the browser alongside your clinical system. We treat your data the way a practice has to. Hosting is in the UK, every practice is isolated, and access is by individual sign-in, there's no shared login and no open link.
Each practice can only reach its own material. One practice physically cannot fetch another's files, access is blocked before the request is served.
Each named user signs in with a one-time code to their own email. No shared passwords for you to manage, and access can be removed in seconds.
Content is served from the UK behind an access-controlled front door, so practice material never sits on an open address.
The analysis uses practice-level dispensing, tariff and invoice data (drug, pack, cost and reimbursement). It uses no patient-identifiable records and nothing from the clinical record, which keeps the governance burden proportionate.
We align to the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit and sign a data-processing agreement with your practice. You remain the data controller; we are your processor, with a defined retention and deletion policy.
Every reimbursement, cost and margin figure is computed by rule against the Drug Tariff, never guessed or estimated. No patient-identifiable data is involved, and a dispensing GP checks every material number against source and signs it off.
We provide a data-processing agreement, our DSPT position and our retention and deletion policy before any real practice data is shared.
RxMargin is built and run by practising NHS GPs who dispense. The method was developed against real dispensing data from a working practice, encodes how a dispensary actually trades, and every material figure is audited by a dispensing GP before it reaches your portal, not generated and left unchecked.
